Hunting Groups Target Nate Turner

nate turnerA group of hunters has set its sights on unseating Board of Game Vice Chair Nate Turner, who is up for confirmation by the state legislature on Friday. Two groups, the newly formed Resident Hunters of Alaska (RHAK) and the Alaska Outdoor Council, have both voiced opposition to Turner’s reappointment, saying he promotes too heavily the needs of non-resident hunters. “We don’t believe he represents the interest of Alaskans,” said Resident Hunters of Alaska (RHAK) executive director Mark Richards. “He seems to be representing the interests of the guiding industry.”
