There were a whopping 44 winners of the Nenana Ice Classic, evenly splitting the $300,000 jackpot. The annual game is a prediction of when the ice will go out on the Tanana River in Nenana. The tripod set up on the ice was tripped at 3:39 p.m. Alaska Standard Time on April 23. Ice classic manager Cherrie Forness says each ticket holder will pocket $6,818. The winner’s names and where they purchased their tickets will be posted on the game’s website.
