The Alaska Sports Hall of Fame announced its class of 2015, which included three individuals, a moment category and an event category.
Renowned nordic skier Dick Mize was on the list of inductees. Mize was on the first U.S. Olympic biathlete team in the 1960 Squaw Valley Games. He was well known for his skiing abilities, even at an older age. Mize also helped design and construct numerous ski trails around Anchorage.
Nancy Pease was a six-time Mount Marathon winner, an eight-time Crow Pass Crossing winner and won the Bird Ridge race five times, winning outright at Bird Ridge, beating out the men.
John Brown helped lead Ketchikan to four straight basketball championships in the 1960s. He went on to play at Seattle University.
