Former Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin would consider running against U.S. Senator Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) next year. Her answer on a national talk radio show indicates she’s open to weigh the challenge.
Palin appeared on the Jim Bohannon Show* Monday evening, November 30, 2015, promoting her new book Sweet Freedom: A Devotional.
During the interview Bohannon noted that Senator Murkowski will conclude her first full six-year term in 2016 and be running for re-election.
When asked by Bohannon about her thoughts on getting back into an “elective office again,” Palin responded, “I would love to serve in office at some level. I honestly don’t know what ideally that would be for me, or my family. I would be so honored. Yeah – I still want to do that. I’ve always had good reasons when I’ve chosen not to run.”
Palin’s reference to not running was about her support of the man she appointed to serve as attorney general while she was the governor, now U.S. Senator Dan Sullivan, who defeated incumbent U.S. Senator Mark Begich (D-AK) in 2014 election.
Bohannon saved the kicker question for the conclusion of his interview: “What about a Lisa Murkowski challenge in the Primary (August 2016). Any thoughts?”
Palin didn’t waver at all: “Somebody needs to. Somebody needs to.”
Bohannon: “Well, why not you?”
Palin: “I don’t know. That’s something to consider, you know – with my family and a lot that we have on our plate. But yeah – I think contested primaries are extremely valuable. They’re healthy. That’s what we need.”

Palin was a great governor and would be a great senator. This quitting b.s. is nonsense. Murkowski got appointed by her dad and had to write-in to get formally elected so where are those labels??? (“Not earned” and “Lost the first time”)
