University of Alaska spokeswoman Robbie Graham said the university was disappointed with the [legislature’s] decision and that it will force the university, which has already been preparing for sharp cuts, to look for deeper reductions.“Given the importance of the state’s investment in higher education for Alaska’s future, and our positive impact on the Alaska economy, we are very disappointed in this decision,” she said.
