As part of the Last Frontier Honor Flight’s bi-annual flight, 22 veterans and their guardians gathered at Ted Stevens International Airport, and boarded a memorable flight free of charge. Uniformed service members joined their veteran counterparts in what some describe is the send-off of a lifetime. Veterans from the Korean War and World War II departed for Washington D.C. where they’ll have the opportunity to visit the national monuments constructed in their honor for the very first time.
