Lisa and the FBI

Lisa Murkowski finally got herself involved in the Brett Kavanaugh confirmation fight Friday with a demand for a seventh FIB background check into sexual assault accusations by Dr. Christine Ford.  The nomination was voted out of the Judiciary Committee with the understanding that there will be a limited FIB investigation into credible allegations.

There is so much wrong with this that it is hard to know where to start, so I will start with the observation that the very people that Murkowski is trusting to investigate Judge Kavanaugh, again, are the same people who conspired with (In)Justice prosecutors to falsely accuse and convict Ted Stevens, driving him from office in 2008.  It’s only been a decade.  Perhaps Lisa forgot what happened way back then and who did the dirty deed.

In doing this, Lisa plays into the delay game the democrats in the senate have been playing since July, when they got a letter from Dr. Ford alleging an attempted sexual assault.  In asking for yet another FIB background check into current allegations against Brett Kavanaugh, Lisa rewards democrat obstructionists and character assassins in the senate with another week of time to ply their ugly trade.

I wonder how that will work out?

Nowhere in her claim of concern for abused women has Lisa expressed concern for abused men and families, specifically Judge Kavanaugh and his family, three of whom have the right plumbing to properly qualify for her concern.

What have we seen so far?  LOTS of bad faith from democrats, democrat lawyers, those women making accusations decades after the claimed event, all without any comment by Lisa.

For example, it is unclear who Dr. Ford’s pro-bono mouthpiece, Debra Katz, recommended by Dianne Feinstein, is working for.  We know she is a liar, as she made the claim that Dr. Ford doesn’t like to fly, which is interesting based on Ford’s travel the last several years.  Katz started the bidding off after Friday’s delay with comments warning against unnecessarily rigid and unreasonable interview schedules for her client.  The delay beat goes on and on and on and on.

The other thing that this delay will do is allow democrats to scrounge up more damaged women to trot out and make wild sexual accusations, all without a shred of evidence against Kavanaugh.  Given that Dr. Ford’s GoFundMe site sits around $530,000 as of Friday, I would be willing to bet they can create no small number of additional new abuse accusations at half a million a pop.  I will take the over at 5.

Finally, in demanding yet another FIB background check, Lisa does not punish or otherwise push back against fellow US Senators on the democrat side that sat on this letter for nearly two months, leaked it to the press at the last minute, and pretend to be shocked, simply shocked, at the newly known allegations, all of which that side of the table knew about since July.  Feinstein threw Ford under the bus Thursday, accusing Ford of leaking the letter to the media.  Nice.  Maybe she should put some ice on that.

I don’t know what Lisa is up to, and she hasn’t taken the time to tell her fellow Alaskans what she is doing or why.  She has been completely silent on the malfeasance of the democrats in the senate, and her demand for yet another investigation appears to reward them for turning this into a character assassination circus.  Perhaps she will deign to enlighten us sometime in the week to come.
