April 10, 2020 (Anchorage, AK) – Alaska Governor Mike Dunleavy today announced the suspension of certain regulations and statutes to provide relief to individuals and businesses impacted by COVID-19.
The COVID-19 Disaster Order of Suspension No. 2 Appendix A – Amendment 2 suspends certain fees, regulations, and statutes within the Department of Health and Social Services, Department of Administration, Department of Commerce, Department of Environmental Conservation, Department of Natural Resources, Department of Transportation, Department of Fish and Game, and the Department of Education through May 11, 2020 unless otherwise noted.
“My administration understands the significant economic costs felt by many Alaskans as we focus our efforts on slowing the spread of the coronavirus. In an effort to explore ways we may lessen the burden of state government on Alaska’s families and businesses in this time, my team continues to explore all options available,” said Governor Mike Dunleavy.
Background:
On March 31, 2020, Governor Dunleavy signed the COVID-19 Disaster Order of Suspension No. 2. This action suspended certain fees and fines within the Department of Health and Social Services, Department of Administration, Department of Commerce, Department of Labor, and the Department of Revenue through May 11, 2020 unless otherwise noted.
