Marijuana Company Searched By Police

The Anchorage Police Department served a search warrant at a marijuana delivery company in south Anchorage Thursday afternoon.

Police arrived at Absolutely Chronic Delivery Company on Old Seward Highway around 2 p.m., according to employees. The owner of the company, Michael Crites, says he was out shopping for office supplies and returned to find police raiding the call center.

Officers on scene would not say what was listed in the warrant, but Crites says marijuana products and business records are held in the building. APD has seized delivery vehicles from the company in the past.

ACDC and six other marijuana-related businesses received cease and desist letters in July advising them to stop operating. The state has not finalized regulations regarding commercial marijuana sales and the Alcohol Control Board has warned that businesses who try operating now risk being denied a license when they are finally issued.
